Mezzanine
Massive Attack, released in 1998 (UK), trip hop.
- Artist: Massive Attack
- Year: 1998
- Genre: Trip Hop

Overview
Darker and heavier than their earlier records, Mezzanine fused trip hop with post punk guitars and slow, menacing bass. Teardrop, sung by Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins, became their best known song. Tensions over the new direction led Andrew Vowles to leave the Bristol group soon after.
