Revolver
The Beatles, released in 1966 (UK), rock.
- Artist: The Beatles
- Year: 1966
- Genre: Rock
- Country: UK
Overview
Made as the band was tiring of touring, Revolver pushed studio technique into new territory with backward tapes, automatic double tracking and the Indian drone of Love You To. Tomorrow Never Knows, built on tape loops with Lennon singing through a rotating Leslie speaker, previewed psychedelia, while Eleanor Rigby set a string octet against a story of loneliness.
